TREVOR WILKINS

Trevor is a Professional Photographer who follows his passion in focusing on a range of water –related sports such as yachting, high performance dinghy sailing, power boating, other water related sports and surfing.
He shoots his subjects for editorial, corporate and commercial purposes supplying leading sailing, general sports and media publications.
Many of his images have been published internationally.
Trevor is at his best when the chips are down and the prevailing conditions provide exciting photographic opportunities – the capture of a moment in time.
He has the added advantage of being involved in water sports from an early age.
Going back to 1968 he was one of the first crew members of National Sea Rescue. This toughened him up to respect and to understand the sea.
His involvement in both dingy sailing and in keel boat sailing on a competitive basis-and in the organisation of regattas - holds him in good stead to understand and to pre-empt a situation at sea.

He also spent time on surf charters on the Indies Explorer in the Mentawai Islands off the West coast of Indonesia where the surfing is considered as one of the best spots in the world. It was here that he was introduced to the fine art of surf photography.

Trevor’s other passion is the great outdoors and almost every week you will find him on a mountain climb. This is a further opportunity to capture images in the wild, from the tiny insects to the big five The flora of the Cape provide a stunning subject for his photography.
He has recently Sailed a Catamaran from Fort Lauderdale via the Bahamas, Exuma Islands, Cuba, Jamaica to Panama - again another photographic expidition!
